Privacy Policy

Who this policy covers
This policy explains what Tawla, sold by Folowise in Jordan, collects and why. It covers two very different people: the restaurant owner who signs up, and the guest who scans a QR code at a table.
For owners, we are the data controller: we decide what to collect to run the platform. For guests, the restaurant is the controller and we are the processor: we hold guest data on the restaurant's behalf, to its instructions, and for no purpose of our own.
What we collect about owners
Your name, email address and password when you sign up, and the name and details of your restaurant. Your password is stored hashed; nobody at Folowise can read it.
Your subscription history: which plan, since when, invoices and payments. Payments made by bank transfer or CliQ are recorded as amounts and dates; we never hold card numbers.
What we hold for your restaurant
Everything you put into your admin panel: your menu with its photos and prices, your tables and their QR codes, your staff accounts, your opening hours and settings.
All of it lives in a database that belongs to your restaurant alone. Restaurants on Tawla do not share databases.
What we hold about guests
When a guest orders or books, the order or booking itself: the items, the table, the time. When a guest chooses to give them, a name and a phone number.
Guests do not create accounts to order and are never asked for more than the restaurant needs to serve them.
Technical logs
Like every website, the platform keeps technical logs: IP addresses, request times, errors. They exist to keep the service running and to investigate abuse, and they are not used to profile anyone.
Why we use it
To run the service you signed up for: render your storefront, take orders, drive the kitchen screen, bill your subscription, and send the transactional email that goes with all of that - welcome, trial notices, suspension notices, password resets.
To keep the platform safe: rate limits, abuse investigation, fixing what breaks.
Not to advertise. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and we do not use your guests' data for anything but serving your restaurant.
Where data lives
The platform is hosted with Hostinger on servers in the European Union. Your restaurant's database and your uploaded files live there, as do the platform's own records.
Who can see it
You, and the staff accounts you created, see your restaurant's data through your admin panel.
A small number of Folowise operators can access a restaurant's admin panel to provide support. Every such access is recorded and shown to you on the Platform activity screen in your admin panel: who, and when. Operators do not access restaurants without a support reason.
Nobody else. We do not share data with third parties beyond the infrastructure that hosts the service and delivers its email, and, where the law of Jordan compels it, the authorities - in which case we share the minimum required.
How long we keep it
For as long as your restaurant is on the platform. Suspension deletes nothing.
After cancellation, your database and uploads are kept for 60 days and then deleted. You can request the export during that window, and you can request earlier deletion.
Technical logs are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically.
Guests' rights
A guest who wants their data corrected or deleted should ask the restaurant, because the restaurant is the controller of its guests' data. The restaurant can edit or delete guest records from its admin panel.
If a guest contacts us directly, we pass the request to the restaurant and help it comply. Where the restaurant no longer exists on the platform, we handle the request ourselves.
Cookies
Tawla uses session cookies only: one that keeps you signed in to the platform, and one per restaurant that keeps a guest's cart and session, scoped to that restaurant's own path. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no cross-site tracking.
Because the cookies are strictly what makes the service function, there is no cookie banner to click through.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes in a way that matters, we email account owners before the change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page moves.
